Past performance: US Embassy/USAID/Guatemala
AMI is coaching and training American staff and Guatemalan staff at US Embassy/USAID/Guatemala — locally hired Foreign Service Nationals and U.S. Direct Hire Foreign Service Officers. The engagement started with an on-site period at the Mission, then continued remotely. Sessions are individual and group.
Speech writing coaching and training, in English and Spanish, is for the Mission front office, technical-team department heads, and the local speech-writing community. Guatemala staff regularly speak with partners, organizations, ministers, and the Guatemalan government. The work is to raise the quality of those speeches and other communication products.
Skill-set enhancement coaching and training, in English, is for Foreign Service Officers who must produce mission accomplishment statements, fact sheets, promotional materials, and other persuasive writing, often with little lead time. The aim is writing tools and methods they can keep using after the sessions end.
The plan of work includes an action plan; one-on-one coaching; at least one group session on speech writing and one on skill-set enhancement; progress updates to office directors; monthly reports to the COR; and a midterm report and a final report to the Mission Director and Deputy Mission Director. Kickoff and scoping were planned for January 2025, coaching through March 2025, and a final report and out briefing in April 2025.
