AMI’s Global Health practice is led by a career health officer and covers HIV/AIDS, malaria, maternal and child health, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, health-care finance, and health logistics. The work spans evaluation, strategy, staffing, and community-level care for US Embassy/USAID missions, CDC, and HHS.

Recent and recorded work includes the Zimbabwe orphans and vulnerable children ex-post evaluation; CDC NCIPC risk and process support; HHS PEPFAR meeting logistics and National Vaccine Program Office communications; health-portfolio and strategy support in Southern Africa and Kenya; health-information systems and NGO capacity building in Uganda; community nutrition and reproductive health education; and M&E for maternal and child health and nutrition under Food for Peace in Liberia, plus HIV care and design support in Ghana. The practice also covers health information management, vaccine cold-chain and medical supply assessments, and behavior-change communications that use local channels.
